Waterway Sulden

Starting from the Civil Defence building, take trail no. 1 to the newly designed “Sulden Water Trail”. The trail leads past alpine roses up to the “Legerwand”. From there, cross the newly designed suspension bridge with a view of the roaring waterfall of the Suldenbach stream to trail no. 2 (Ertlsteig), which takes you back down to the valley.

Walking time: approx. 2 hours.

Sulden History and Culture Promenade

The Sulden History and Culture Promenade is a beautiful, 8 km long circular trail on the valley floor of Sulden, suitable for prams. The promenade takes you past the 12 cultural sites and museums that tell the story of tourism in the Ortler area from the pioneering days to the present day. The promenade can be walked all year round and invites you to linger with numerous seating options.

Walking time: approx. 3 hours.

The Zumpanell Mine

The starting point of this challenging hike is the Razoihof in Außersulden, below the bus stop. Cross a bridge to reach the Bodenhof farm and from there continue to trail no. 26, which leads you directly to the Zumpanell mine. The reward for the exertions is the wonderful view of Lake Reschen and the Venosta Valley. The descent is via the same route.

Walking time: approx. 6 hours.

Goldsee Trail

The Goldsee Trail starts at the Furkel Hut and leads you along trail no. 20 to the Passo Stelvio. Along the trail, various themed panels provide information about the history of the war, vegetation, geology and glescher structure of the Ortler region. The high-level trail runs along the Swiss border and offers a magnificent view of the Ortler massif.

Walking time: approx. 4 hours.

Alpine path

The starting point of this hike is the Furkelhütte in Trafoi. From there you go to the Prader Alm and then along a narrow mountain path to the Stilfseralm.
The way back takes you via trail no. 11 to Schartalp, and then via trail no. 12A to the ruins of Lichtenberg Castle. The cycle path takes you back to Prad am Stilferjoch.
